Noosa Orchestra brings its 2026 concert season to a thrilling conclusion with "An Emperor Among Concertos" and the performance of not one, but two concertos; one for the piano and one for the trombone.
The Emperor piano concerto is one of the most accomplished of all piano concertos ever written, with a striking opening movement, a glorious rondo finale, and the serenity of the hymn-like adagio which makes this Beethoven’s best. We welcome our soloist Harrison Wockner and look forward to performing with him.
Johann Albrechtsberger was an Austrian composer writing during the classical period who was best remembered for his influence as a teacher. He was a mentor to many important composers, most notably Beethoven.
Our very own Melissa Campbell performs his Alto Trombone concerto in B flat major.
Our young ensembles will join us and we hope you will too! Absolutely nothing beats a live music performance!
