INTRODUCING BEATRICE COLOMBIS , A TALENTED VIOLINIST AT JUST 15 YEARS OLD.
It’s not surprising that Beatrice has a deep love and talent for violin, she was born in Italy to an Australian mother and an Italian father who met while they were studying Piano at the Moscow Conservatorium. Is it any wonder that Beatrice has grown up to be a fine musician?
Beatrice has played violin since before her 3rd birthday studying for many years with Yasuki Nakamura, Philippa Paige and for the last three years with Ilya Isakovich from the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Already, Beatrice has given concerts playing the violin in Australia, Italy, England and Japan. Beatrice received her L.Mus.A. with distinction in 2017. She is a full music scholar at Ascham School and has led the school Orchestra since she was 13 years old. She has won several competitions at the Sydney Eisteddfod.
Currently in Year 11, Beatrice balances her academic studies with her musical commitments with fierce dedication and single mindedness but still makes time to sing in the Gondwana choir and to compete in the school’s Water Polo team.
Beatrice is delighted to have been asked to be a soloist with Noosa Orchestra and has chosen two wonderful pieces to entertain you.
